Ok, So I was wondering :
What's the story behind the Burricks Heart in TDS ???
The Rest of the artefacts give you some information about them, and I think the Eye has the most information available !:ebil:
And why did Eidos not do a mission about where it's found !
Ok, It would be a bit boring to see some dude cut out a Burricks heart then give it to Weilstorm Museum....but WHY ?????????
Still wondering...:idea::erg::confused::confused:

A Burrick heart?? Never heard about!!
And, don't worry: if in some part of the game there are the Burrick steaks, surely someone will have cut them out! :laff:
Made me know better where it's that Burrick heart.

Whell maybe it's a special kind of gem that looked like a burrik's heart, but surely they made it up because it was needed to fill the storyline.

There could be done something with its story in a FM. I believe LarryG asked a question about this in TEG, so maybe we will see it in his mission.

I thought it maybe was the Mystic Heart stolen from the bonehoard in T1.
It is made of ruby too, and the eidos could have searched in the Thief archives what special gem had been stolen by Garrett before in order to reuse it.
The thing is: why the Heart and not the Soul? And why not, if it was just difficult to choose, why not the Horn of Quintus, far more remembered by the player?
Anyway, I don't like T3 as much as I love T1 and even T2. They weren't the same guys, it isn't the same realm.

The Mystic's Heart is not the Burrick's Heart Ruby. The Mystic's Heart is as transparent pink glass, cut by hand into the shape of a valentine.
The picture I made for the Dark Wiki was altered significantly to make the gems visible because they are so transparent that any detail is hard to see, the background has more detail than the gem and was plainly visible through it. The actual heart and soul appearance has a fraction of the contrast and color. It really looks like a ghost of pink glass, so this image was meant as a study:

The Mystic's Heart doesn't resemble ruby in the least, but the Burrick's Heart Ruby does.
As with the Golden Bones, the Mytsic's Heart and Soul are Hammerite or Hammerite-associated artifacts, and "male".
The Burrick's Heart Ruby is "female".
The Mystic's Heart and Soul have no malice connected with them and the only danger comes from the traps guarding them.
The Burrick's Heart Ruby can ensnare the mind of whomever gazes upon her, causing them to waste away for lack of food, drink, living...
