Whoa whoa whoa! Lay off the sauce! :wot:
Or pass the bottle around sooner, No-Longer-New-Member...:thumb:
(Psssst... I'm no programmer or DromEdeer, but I know how to use DromEd to find the persons, places, objects, texts, and conversations in a mission.)
Anyway, most of the Bonehoard was built by Hammers, with certain areas Hammer-themed, and the Golden Bones belonged to a special member of the church that may or may not have been a Hammerite or Saint, but very special nonetheless.
Stealing the Mystic's Heart desecrates a Hammerite grave, and thus, a Hammer Haunt possesses the body of the person whose grave Garrett desecrated. The Mystic may have been a woman, another special member to the Hammerites, but it would be an interesting story about why her gemstone would be interred with a Hammerite, so it's easy to assume the Mystic was "male," and possibly a Hammerite, too.
The Burrick's Heart is female. The Eye says:
Quote:
m10v06a: Ah, you have found my sister, The Heart. Does she whisper to you? Many have wiled away their very days waiting for just one word from her.
Which is how Clive Warwick died...wasted away gazing longingly at her, the Warwick Heart (named for the last known "owner").
Also, an actress voiced lines for her, but they were left out:
Quote:
m10v08a: "Who are you? Where is Master Clive? He looked at me...so longingly...."
m10v08b: "Do you think I'm beautiful? Have you...gazed upon me?"
m10v08c: "Would you like me to tell you how special you are? You're not handsome...but I could find something nice to say...."
m10v09a: "You're not a prince...you're just a simple thief. Hardly worth talking to."
m10v09b: "I would like to fall into a pool of your blood as you die a painful death. But before that...I hope you see your friends perish and your quest...fail."
Oh, and balanced Keepers don't have a 'tude.:cheeky:
Red or light-red, a ruby is nowhere near that transparent, especially at that thickness. And that room is very dark. :ebil:
So here we have a nice close-up of a fully-lit Mystic's Heart in front of a fully-lit background with white areas to see the color of the stone, and dark lines to show the transparency. This image was cropped only.
Inline Image:
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/5562/mysticshearttransparenc.jpgWe could also assume the name is a misnomer. On a poorly-worded imaginary plaque below the imaginary gemstone display case:
Quote:
THE MYSTIC'S HEART & SOUL
These remarkable gems are so named, not for having once belonged to a mystic, and not for having been mined from the Mystic Plateau in the land of Plegh, which is common assumption and not true, but because these stones were taken from the Mestyk people of Sarnoth as spoils of war in...

Dammit! I have absolutely to play TG before reading your posts, jtr7. They are a constant spoiler. :p lol

Haven't you played TDP?

aha... May I require yer help then taffer?...
I cannot place text (except from the T2 quotelist because it already links the text to the scroll and I can place it like this or imitate these links with another "book_object". And it's unthinkable I write text by myself... It notes on the book :
"There should be a book here" and it really crosses me a lot each time. Of course there should be. And there isn't. Because of what? Who didn't display the text? Mh?
So... Could you help?... :D Please? :cheeky:
And by the way, if you could tell me how to open a new thread, I'm trying and I searched everywhere, and I wonder wether I lack the authorization or enough cleverness to find the propper button...
Herr_Garrett on 13/12/2009 at 20:12
Well, up on the "main screen" of Thief Series General Discussion, there's a button in the upper right corner (just over the thread-list) saying "New thread" or something to this effect.
And with DromEd questions, consult the Editors' Guild :)

Yes, but I don't remember about this heart.
jtr7 on 15/12/2009 at 03:29
Ah. I know you have not played Thief Golld, and I couldn't remember if you played T1. Play Bonehoard on Expert, next time, or you won't be able to get the Mystic's Heart and none of the objectives or texts will talk about it.:)

Ah! That's a shame that the adventure story changes basing on what difficulty level it's used.
jtr7 on 15/12/2009 at 04:07
Not too much. TDP/Gold has quite a mix of experimental development concepts the devs tried out, and Bonehoard is the only mission with areas that are off-limits with changing readables entirely dependent on difficulty. Ambush has conversations that change location and one convo that is unavailable depending on difficulty. I can't think of others where difficulty level alone opens and closes areas or changes story, but Bonehoard is the worst.

I remember that there I liked to kill the zombies by actracting them behind me, then making them caught by that trap that spitted fire (or lava) drops . LOL! That was really amusing.
