Holland were amazing. Robben's final goal was brilliantly executed. I'll be surprised if VP's header doesn't end up as one of the top 5 goals of the tournament.

As I've said (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139520&p=2129285&viewfull=1#post2129285) before, I've supported the Netherlands since 1974 and the days of Johan Cruyff. They play a great game whether they win or lose.

I'm slightly disappointed by Tomi's lack of points system as per his Euro 2012 thread but maybe when we get a bit further on, he might oblige.

Gawd. If you hate football this must be a terrible time. I'm at home doing some work on the sofa and I've just turned over to find Uruguay vs Costa Rica. It's certainly possible to watch footie all day long at the moment.

I hope Uruguay lose (even though they've just scored) because I hate Suarez more than I've ever hated any sportsman. Yeah, he's not playing now but he probably will.

I thought it was rubbish.

The initial part was executed nicely, indeed. But then when all his momentum was gone, there was another Dutch attacker completely open, right in front of the goal. Any decent player would have passed. But not Robben. He had to dribble a few more seconds and then shoot himself. Really bad teamplay. Selfish bastard. It didn't matter now. But one of these days this selfish behaviour is gonna cost a game.
