Shadow of Memories (/Destiny)
Despite it being a 2nd generation (possibly first) PS2 game, the animation is lovely, especially the facial movements. It has superior animation to some modern titles, namely Fallout 3.

Maybe it's just me, but I still think Descent 3 still looks quite good today despite the low poly count.

Wing Commander IV. Although the in-game graphics are what you'd expect from a mid-90s game, the FMV is fantastic.

Erm, FMV is mostly, like, of real people and shit. Film footage. It's bound to not get old graphically. You know?
Sure, we could debate that WC3's FMV was lower-res and grainy, but we'd be talking about the quality of what are essentially cutscenes... which is a valid discussion, but not quite the point.

I was thinking the same after reading his post.
I've only played the DVD-ROM edition of Wing Commander 4, so the FMVs were all crystal clear and high res. The bad blue screen work stuck out like a sore thumb.

But - but that's the Wing Commander charm showing through!

I still pull out morrowind every time it gets dusty, and every time I am re-sucked into it. The night time graphics always put me in a trance.
Joint Operations, Typhoon Rising, for the size of the massive never ending terrain, the graphics were great! Especially considering at the time it came out, my older computer could actually run it in full resolution.
The first "Alone in the Dark" to come out on the first xbox. Well, it had its moments.

I forgot to mention Nox earlier, which still looks (and plays) great IMO.

There never was an AitD game for Xbox 1.

There was one on the Dreamcast that looked incredible at the time. Especially compared to the PS1 version.
