realMyst is still looking remarkably good for a game that came out nine years ago. But then, it should, since looking good was the entire point of making it.

All the myst games look good even the first one, and they're still good to play.

Pre-rendered static images still looking good is kind of a given though. realMyst took scenes that must have taken hours per frame to render originally, and did it all in realtime. Quite a nice accomplishment.

Have you played (
http://www.oolite.org/) OOlite? I'm having great fun with it - it's essentially a clone of the original Elite for Win/Mac/*NIX, with OpenGL graphics so it looks quite good. Whilst it's a clone of the original (you can even change the graphics to be wireframe!), you can download extra ships, equipment and missions for it, if you want to.

Oolite is great :) No planetary landing though, which was what I liked most in the Frontier games

Unreal 1. This games not only looks good, but sounds good and plays good. Too bad Epic embarked on pop-style looking Tournaments after this.

Not very old, but something I have been playing on PC lately: Star Wars-Republic Commando looks amazing. Even on 5+ year old hardware, (XP 2500+, 9800 PRO) it runs 60fps + maxed out @ 1280X960. The style really makes this game shine, and the animations are nice as well. Oh, and it is very challenging and fun to boot!

Almost any Atari 2600-era Activision game.

Interesting topic... I'll through my 2 cents in the jar. Oh, despite the title of the thread saying "incredible", I'm going for "look good" not necessarily incredible.
Hmm, so many to think about and to list; from 90s to present...:erm:
I'll have to agree with someone else who said Quake 1. That games does surprisingly look fairly good. However, it looks even better with the engine modifications, but I'm guessing the intention of the thread was to look at them without any mods.
Oh, and my list doesn't exclude console titles either!
Doom 3 (pc)
Half-life 2 (pc)
Half-life: Blue Shift (came with an optional hi-def patch)
Resident Evil 4 (I've got the Wii version, but it's essentially the gamecube game)
Resident Evil (remake -GC)
Thief 2, but it looks even better with the enhancement pack.
Jedi Outcast (pc)
FFX (ps2)
Morrowind (pc)
Darkstone (pc)
MGS2, MGS3 (ps2)
TimeSplitters 2 (PS2)
Warcraft 2 (pc)
System Shock 2 (pc)
NFSHS2 (pc)
The Sims (pc)
