(
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/07/06/steam-lucasarts-global-fangasm/) RPS has the news - the list begins on 8th July with:
• Armed and Dangerous
• Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
• Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure
• LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventure
• LOOM (!)
• Star Wars Battlefront II
• Star Wars Republic Commando
• Star Wars Starfighter
• The Dig
• Thrillville: Off the Rails
On the 15th, we get the Secret Of Monkey Island Special Edition i.e. the remake.
Now none of you have an excuse for not playing The Dig, you bastards.

I've still got an excuse. My graphics card is on the fritz. Won't do Mode X! Artifacts in the BIOS! Boots up to windows fine! Is it the PSU, or is it the VRAM? Busted capacitor? Swapped it with my old 6800 GT which worked fine before but doesn't work now, either!
It's like a puzzle game but with real life graphics. And I'll be playing it for a while. :erg:

What, no tie fighter?
Fuck them.

They did say it was just the beginning, Phatose.

In before complaining about Euro prices!
But seriously this is great news! Especially since I never played the CD version of Loom. And yeah TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance will no doubt come later.
I've never bought DOS games off of Steam before. Do they use DOSBox itself or some emulator of their own?

Or ScummVM? Alternatively, can you copy the data files from Scumm games to use on your own install of ScummVM? If anyone picks these up, please let me know.
I already have all the adventure games in that list, but when Curse of Monkey Island is up there, it will be bought day one (that's the only LucasArts adventure game I have yet to get).

LOOM! Fuck I'll be getting that ASAP!

Too bad they won't go for GOG.com instead. I would love to play Jedi Knight and Dark Forces, but I will not play the DRM game.

Enjoy the 2-3 hours it will take to complete. Savor it. Maybe fire up the camcorder and record the look on your face when you are done; or take a snapshot like that guy in
Memento.
I spent 50 bucks when it first came out and finished it that afternoon. I'm still pissed about it.
But yeah, having The Dig will be cool.

I've already played it and I fucking loved it. However it was missing the soundtrack which I've heard was quite good and I'm hoping the Steam version will have it.
