if they didn't do anything to the games (patches, widescreen support) I don't see any reason to get them again. have most of them in old retail boxes or as "collection packs" from the bargain bin. this is so .... underwhelming.....how can LA think that this is a "special" announcement.
About bloody time, I say

Not everyone has the old games, or not all of them. It's pretty difficult to find some of them at reasonable prices. And some people only started playing computer games a couple of years ago but have heard old-timers wax lyrical about The Dig or Day of the Tentacle.

well, legally......yeah, I assume it can get very hard to find them. Illegally there exists the lucas arts classic complete pack for years, one even I am using since it's more convenient than to travel each time into the cellar, searching for this old suitcase with my old games. I'm very sad LucasArts didn't put the really old ones on GOG.

And that's really the start and end of the matter.
But seriously guys, Zak McCracken please (wouldn't mind Their Finest Hour either, come to think of it).

Ok well the games are up. And the adventures are £3 each! The bad news is The Dig is currently broken. LOOM works fine tho. Looks like they are indeed working natively in Windows, no ScummVM involved.
Matthew on 8/7/2009 at 23:14
Excellent, Loom bought'ed.
Edit: oh why not, Last Crusade too.

Yeah, just grabbed Loom (technically for the third time in my life) and tossed in The Dig, which I've never played.

i only got republic commando, which I already own on cd (but is broken).
everything else I already have scummVM-ified (which is actually the better version considering it got upscaling/sharpening to higher resolutions).
I just hope RC is not so buggy as the cd-version. no way they are gonna patch it and include a widescreen fix......let's see.....
Stitch on 9/7/2009 at 17:37
Wow, Loom is not quite the game I remember it being :(
