Trophies are borked, games cannot be played both online and off, and it's impossible to log into PSN. The clock seems to have been reset to 12/31/1999. Sony says they're "working on it" and that's about all they've said.
Slims are not affected. If I were a conspiracy theorist (i.e. if I were several people on TTLG, they may not know who they are but everyone else does) I'd take that as Sony trying to get people to buy Slims.

Mine worked fine yesterday.. I don't think I've turned it on today. Maybe I'll be leaving it off for a couple days. no big deal i guess, I hardly touch it.

The going theory, one that I've come to before I was shown the post I'm about to link, is that it's (
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=20030745&postcount=1) an issue with the calendar being 2/28/2010. Seems to be speculation that it's to do with a sort of Fake Leap Year issue. Not the first time something like this has happened and certainly not the last- it remains to be seen if the situation resolves itself in a day or so.

Except it's affecting PS3s not connected to the internet as well. It's a hardware issue. Have you had your coffee yet?
