You can also sort the missions on “The Missions” site by date and start playing the oldest first. I find some of the oldest T2 FMs are really advanced and filled with ideas beyond the original. As you know, there are gems, and there are not so great FMs, but almost all are fun in their own way. I've been picking around the older ones myself and rediscovering some good ones that I have not played for a long time. My profile says I joined in 2010, but somehow my original membership died. I think I joined (still very late) in 2006 or 7?
I find the small little missions are really fun. Ones fans just tried to make the best they could. The elaborate ones are wonderful and I appreciate them very much, but the little ones from extreme amateurs are cool too.
I only just recently got into TG/T1 FMs, since I was too cheap to by TG until about 2 years ago, or so. It's been fun checking out all that I missed there too.
And TDM... I finally have a box to handle it. Most of the FMs I have played are really cool. Very similar, but also very different. I find that I just set most things to try to simulate T2 style play and I am fine.
Enjoy playing the past again Gloria!

Ah nostalgia.. the first FM I ever played was Benny's Dead. Still so much fun.
Other oldies but goodies, love the Keeper of the Prophecies campaign.. Eclipsed (great tension)..
The Ashen Age.. I still just go in there sometimes just to marvel at its beauty.
Christine's missions for the goodies and great laughs..
The Sun Within and the Sun Without.. such unique, fantastic gameplay..
I could go on.. but shouldn't monopolize the thread ;-)

I also am going back & playing the older missions. I just finished A Pirate's Downfall - 2006 by nicked. Others I've played recently and enjoyed: Evirath's Misery - 2008 by Turcaill, Heist Society - 2004 by Asylum, A Smuggler's Request - 2001 by Richard Cull, the Bathory & Dracula series by Sensut, Having Regrets from the Total Crap Contest. I've replayed Naks' Snobs missions and wish Naks had finished #3.

yes bbb is one of my fav map makers
I have to second downwinder on bbb! Lady Lisa's Harbor is one of the first FM's I played and still one of my very favorites.
I am also replaying all of Lady Rowena's missions because I can think of no better way of honoring her memory. Seven Sisters was just a good as I remembered. Next, I'm playing the L'Arsene series and The Black Frog.
****
I forgot the Night in Rocksbourg series. Those are always good for a replay! Also, Five Tigers is a good series.

YcatX's Ruins of Originia series is always great to replay.
And don't forget about T2X.
