Since I no longer play the OMs, I went ahead and deleted the missions and the associated OSM files. As I'm going back and polishing up old walkthroughs, I see that some FMs used these scripts. Museum Heist, for example, employs miss7.osm.
So, I've been adding a note to readers that they should return those files back to the main directory. But is it necessary? TafferPatcher installs the "common scripts" players need, which I take to mean NVScript.osm, tnhScript.osm, et al.

Nobody is deleting those osms (except you). It's not recommended. No need to add a note.

Neither do I, but I sometimes load them in Dromed to look at how things were done, or to look at the building styles or layouts used.

I doubt it's necessary, but it wouldn't be a big deal either just to note that a FM uses miss7.osm in your walkthrough.

In other words, you've deliberately corrupted your install.

I don't understand why you'd delete those files; Thief 2's OSMs are combined all of 2MB. You surely can't need hard drive space that badly.

For future reference, Deceptive Perception 2 also requires miss7.osm.

If one is using FM-Selector, the stuff for making a FM can be kept in a FM-Folder.
