Yeah, undead buildings of misery, madness, torture, and death are always creepy or horrifying. I wonder if the new dev team will draw from this film.
Dennis Lehane's novel came out in 2003, but it seems to be a coincidence. :p

God I hope not.
I mean
really; how do you expect me to play Thief when I'm hiding under my bed with my eyes closed?
:p

(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3b8v77Vz2M) The House on Haunted Hill (1999) was, I believe, a major inspiration for the Cradle, it's more like it than this. But WOW! I definitely want to see this movie, I never thought Scorsese would make something like this.

Where are the undead??? I've not seen them in the trailer...
Di Caprio... :tsktsk: He's too femminine for everything... Not my best choice.
Anyway the movie seems interesting. hehe

I remember seeing an episode of Supernatural which reminded me of the Cradle a lot. It was set in an abandoned hospital which was haunted by the spirits of the former patients who had been driven mad by the doctors' horrific treatments. Eerily similar.

Mass', he hugs ghosts, and there's one you see disappear. A lot of those inmates are pale beyond living, and I said the Building was undead--full of necromancy, though they wouldn't use that term. It could all be in his mind, or some of it. We'd have to see the movie to maybe find out for sure.

The trailer really didn't suggest anything even remotely supernatural to me. Although it did look very interesting.

At the end of this vid you can see a large fire... Hmm.... if they make a sequel I think it's about a thief returning to the island. :p
