I hope they remember to bury him face-down.

RIP Steve.
He was a great study of design. I will always remember the time I took to clone an OSX look for my Ubuntu install.
I think we owe him for Single Song download purchase systems. The RIAA wanted only subscription models to prevail, Steve Jobs said "no deal"... (Though, OTOH, iTunes can be thought of as a Lotus land for music consumers where they were adrift while the RIAA waged war against "fair use").
It's sad that is Voice controlled vision of the future has only now entered it's infancy. :(
(Plus he was a big advocate against Disney producing crappy direct-to-DVD sequels. Now those fuckers will start that shit again... )

I thought this was one of those sneaky Birthday Threads...
Ciao, Steve. You were an iCon.

Yeah, you really need to change the thread title, that's awful.

As much as I have ripped on him and as much as I hated everything he stood for, I'm saddened to hear this. Well. Fuck you Steve, once more for old times' sake. See you in hell

A visionary goes away, but the real mind behind his success lies somewhere else, almost forgotten but alive.
R.I.P.
Rest in iPod.

Steve, a major player, certainly helped it along. He will be missed, and always remembered for his contributions to the field that he loved so dearly.
