Probably my absolute favorite rant of the guards in Thief 2 if they hear something....it is a blast to get some frogg eggs and set them in a good light and watch the guards simply walk up to them and be blown up....LOL!
What is your favorite Thief guard rant? (From any Thief game, it may help to tell which Thief game you are referring to though)

Kinda hard to choose, but I like those two in particular:
- "Come on now, I won't hurt you... much." (from another thief looking for you, perhaps a Downwinder from Thief Gold?)
- "Are you all right? No… no of course you are not all right… sorry!" (from a guard, when he finds another guard's unconscious body/corpse)

I love it when I can hear some new rants after years of playing the game. I totally laughed when I played Casing the Joint or Masks, I do not remember which one it was, some time ago. I broke one of the Children of Karras with the water arrows, when Benny showed up. I immediately hide in shadows. When he approached the robot, he astonishedly state something like: What´s this?! Is this strange contraption supposed to look like this?!
