Gameplay footage.
* I like how at 3:40 they took what would've been a generic Fed Ex quest and added an interesting extended non-combat playable sequence.
* Combat looks great, seemingly more action packed than FC2.
* The stupid XP pop-ups are still there, but they're far more subtle in this build than the one shown at E3 2011.
* Dubstep score, meh. ALL ABOARD THE TRENDY TRAIN.

its really about the multiplayer anyway, Far Cry was awesome, Farcry2, good, but not great
Pfft, Ubisoft know that they can't really compete with the MP heavy hitters like CoD. FC3's main focus definitely looks to be the SP campaign.
This game will probably just have a serviceable MP component out of obligation. Ubi would know that next to no one will likely be playing it long term (i.e. expect a ghost town about a month after the game's release).

Hahaha good one nicked. :D
As for the gameplay, it doesn't look like the guy learned how to use a gun just yesterday. Which means that either he's a hardcore ex-commando, OR maybe he joins up with some rebels early on in the game and there's a training montage where he becomes a super commando. Maybe even an INTERACTIVE MONTAGE oh my god that would be awesome.

That's probably where the XP system comes into play, and you become more proficient as the game goes on. They keep saying they want the player character to feel like what would happen if just a normal guy got thrown into this situation, but clearly there's got to be some compromise so that you don't have to spend the first part of the game taking ten minutes to reload.
Also, someone tell me that isn't Nolan North voicing the main character... AGAIN!?

Maybe the dudebro douchebag is also an airsoft and survivalist nerd?

What they're saying is that the main character is gonna act like you or I would if we were dropped into a brutal terrorist hellhole. What they actually mean is that the main character will act like you wish you would in that situation. If they truly meant what they said, the game would consist of wetting your pants and then dying.
