I'm actually with Koki on this one. One of the things I really loved about Far Cry 2 was the minimal (or was that non-existent?) hud.

Yeah, I'm not too fussed about the music, assuming that if it grates, I can just move the slider all the way down, but the increased HUD and other gamey feedback isn't ideal and as mentioned, not in keeping with what I thought Far Cry was all about. It does look as though it could be good. I just hope it's not despite too many annoyances.

It was appaling in the trailer, but in the gameplay vid I didn't notice it at all.

I'm at work, so can't really watch - was that because it's just less noticeable when the action is happening, or have they toned it down?

When the action heats up, whilst the dudebro is assaulting the ship at the start of the gameplay clip, the WUB WUB WUB definitely sticks out.

I thought Koki was referring to the HUD + XP stuff. At least, that's what I was asking about. I don't care about the music because I can probably turn it off.
