Good to hear this thing is still alive. Keep up the good work.

Sorry for the thread grave-digging, but I thought it would be nice to inform about the progress. The project is still alive. (I do not tend to cancel it any time soon)
In the past months, object system core was implemented. Not complete, and not feature - full, but it's there! All those things - properties, links, inheritance of properties... Now the object models load and display to illustrate this.
I want to thank all the people that helped.

http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/4454/objectsdb1.th.jpgI sent 3 other screenshots to clearing, so watch out for those as well if you're interested.
My plan now is to clean out the source code and start implementing other properties. Then will come scripting.
BTW: You may notice there is no lightning for objects - this is because it is not implemented yet.

Thanks for working on ODE.
The screenshot looks nice. Do I see MIP mapping in place already?

Nice looking screen Volca, keep up the great work! This will be fabulous if it gets completed some day.

Yes, If I remember right, the textures are generated with 5 hardware mipmaps. There is a bilinear filtering applied as well, which could be easily changed to trilinear or anisotropic.

I noticed the SS2 maps in clearing's collection, too.
It's really looking good, all of it.
Thanks for doing the Builder's work.
