lease try it and see if it is okay :)
Thanks its working now :cheeky:
At last i can explore some maps and reveal their secret locations :ebil:
Theres only 3 small problems in my log
*******************************
Several errors like:
Code:
LOG [ERROR] : MaterialService: Error getting texture dimensions (Mat. @template151) : Zero frame count!
It is temporary fix for SEGV error? I cant see sky textures. Sky is always black.
*******************************
Code:
LOG [DEBUG] : OGRE_LOG: OGRE EXCEPTION(6:FileNotFoundException): Cannot locate resource .bin in resource group General or any other group. in ResourceGroupManager::openResource at /home/bps/apps/ogre1.7.1svn/OgreMain/src/OgreResourceGroupManager.cpp (line 753)
LOG [ERROR] : RenderService: Could not load model for obj 292 : OGRE EXCEPTION(6:FileNotFoundException): Cannot locate resource .bin in resource group General or any other group. in ResourceGroupManager::openResource at /home/bps/apps/ogre1.7.1svn/OgreMain/src/OgreResourceGroupManager.cpp (line 753)
OPDE is trying to load file with name ".bin"?
*************************************
OPDE has tool for making screenshots?
When i press Print Scrn key, it saves screenshot_1.png in directory, but picture is distorted. Also it can not save several screenshots but always overwrites file screenshot_1.png.

This is okay. I still don't know why the material loads with zero frames, but, well - it does not have any crash-inducing side effects now, so it'll have to wait.
I'll maybe look at the sky rendering, although this is a low priority thing - we need the newsky code written first - i.e. there will be time to resolve sky rendering problems later.

The .bin is a standard extension for models, it seems there is some modelname property with an empty string. We should skip rendering for these I suppose - I'll have to test against original engine to know what should be done
You seem to have a talent for finding bugs :) - It would seem there is a problem with writeContentsToFile. Can you please try taking screenshot with some other random project using ogre? I get the screenshots just fine on my PC. :erg:
Edit: If you have the Opde or Ogre on Debug please try Release or relWithDebInfo (make edit_cache in opde build directory *should* suffice, if the linkage will be against non _d libs of ogre). I saw some reports on ogre forum they get weird results with Debug builds.

Whats the status of this project now, as I've been out of the loop for a while.

This thread needs a balanced breakfast.

bound boxes  hate them
I hope opde will perceive objects as they real geometrical form
Albert on 22/9/2010 at 01:22
In other words, realistic physics?
(Oh, maybe you're being facetious. Actually, most people these days talk like that, so I'm only going heh heh).

In the meantime, resurrecting the thread from the cold hands of death... Oh my god it is all there! Thanks Kolya ;)

So Volca, what are your plans now in light of the day's news?
