During a spring clean of my groaning laptop I found a log file of the thief chat room from 2001; Session Start Tue Sep 11 14:27:54 2001 GMT. The log runs to Session Close: Tue Sep 11 22:26:21 2001. This is of course the 911 incident from the start. It's full of old names, it is not easy reading but it is what it is, the thief community of 2001 commenting on the worst terrorist attack the USA had ever experienced.
The question: Should I keep it to myself

wow I remember being there for that, a lot of angry and bewildered, even scared talking went on. To be totally honest Meds, I think you should delete it. I have vague recollections of saying stuff that I wouldnt want resurrected, specially after such a long time.
At the very least I dont want to read it myself, too many painful memories.
I shall shed one tear, made of pure rum butter.

I totally missed this. I didn't even know it happened. I was the Far East when 9/11 happened. I'd like a copy please Medlar.

Oh man, I remember 9/11 unfolding and reading about it in realtime on the thread here in Comm Chat. I heard about the second tower falling from American posters here a good ten minutes before those images came up on the local TV channels. No idea if I was in the IRC channel at the time, but reading my old posts on the forums is generally a cringe-inducing experience, so no thanks.

I missed it so I'm interested to see what happened and there will doubtless be loads of old posters, some of whom may no longer be with us, and the nostalgia will be unreal.

PigLick was one of the participants and if he doesn't want it passed around years later that should be the end of it in my opinion.
