I remember practically crowing with triumph when I finally beat it on hard.

I'm pretty sure I nearly crapped my pants beating the final mission on easy.
The first and last missions of that XP are ridiculous.

So's the mission at the end of the American segment, holy shit. The British section wasn't too bad, though. But some of the Russian campaign? Fucking bullet hell.

Speaking of HL: Opposing Force, does anyone know if Valve have fixed the Steam version yet? Last I heard (which was a wee while back), it was broken so that you couldn't play more than about half of it, so I haven't started playing it yet.
Yep, I did read it. And I did play the Steam Version a few years back, which would fall into the description of "a wee while back".

Valve had broken both Gearbox expansions in a GoldSource engine update about a year back, how hard is that to comprehend?

Wasn't the end of the world - I replayed OpFor recently (before they fixed it) and just used a map cheat to skip the crash. Only missed about 3 minutes of gameplay really.

Medieval 2 Total War: Kingdoms - it was really four expansions packs in one, so gave great value for money.
Barbarian Invasion for Rome: Total War was also good fun, it made the game more difficult by adding religion as a factor to consider in your empire. Alexander was pretty bad though.

I know that, and was replying to Gunsmith. How hard is that to comprehend?

Apparently not as hard as spelling a person's username right.

:laff: I don't why but for some reason Gunsmith for gunsmoke made me crack up.
