don't be so sure.
me and Koki in agreement? who knew
hmm although there is this (from another forum) : "Point being, if EA did remove Crysis 2 just to tempt people to use Origin. Then I'm not taking the bait. However it's much more likely that Valve ran out of Crysis 2 keys. Seeing as all EA products on Steam use keys and sometimes Valve needs to acquire a new batch."

I will on occasion purchase a game online that's not available from Steam, but I don't like it. Minerva's Den from GfFWL, SWAT 4 from Direct2Drive (an under-appreciated game from Irrational), Starcraft 2 from Blizzard, The Witcher 2 from GoG (bit of an oddball, this one)... so I guess Alice 2 from the EA store isn't a stretch. (When it's down to, I dunno... 5 euros)
Thankfully unless EA magically decides to make Mirror's Edge 2, Wing Commander 6, System Shock 3, or Ultima 11, there's really no reason for me to bother with this "Origin" store ever again.
Yep, I just included Mirror's Edge 2 with the venerated Origin Systems classics.

Anything that hurts Steam is good in my book.

Hurting Steam is one thing (and they're certainly far from my favourite retailer), but anything which reduces choice seems like Bad News [for you and you and you and you and you] for the customers.
It will be interesting to see whether or not the affected EA games remain with the other sites that are still currently selling them.

It's not really about brand loyalty, and more about wanting to keep everything organized in the same place. As soon as someone is able to create a client that can connect to Steam, D2D, Impulse, EA Store, GfFWL, Amazon DD, and GoG, and can actually do it well, I'll no longer care where anyone sells their games.

Ahh, whoops. I know why I did that. The UO-Lite from a while back that got canceled was called Ultima X. Got lodged in the brain somehow.

Surely, you wouldn't miss out episode Ten from unspeakable guilt of the travesty of Nine, Avatar?
