From what I played it, beating Halo on Legendary sounds like impossible task to me(I'm talking about PC version not the pussy console version). Unless it's like, shoot enemy with plasma pistol, finish with normal pistol, hide, recharge, repeat.
I liked it on Normal though.

Yeah, Halo 1 (PC) is utterly unforgiving on Legendary. Gearbox actually went the extra mile to rebalance the game for mouse users.
Seriously, anyone that claims that it's a bad port doesn't have a clue.

I get the serious feeling that neither Koki or EvaUnit02 are cali material.
Literally the outdoor levels are zoom, shoot, dodge (possibly a nade for spice) and the indoor are dodge, shoot, slap. I find the outdoor fine, but when I can do more damage with the butt of my rifle than the front of it there is a problem. You would think MC would just run around with a katana and or a giant hammer with how melee is presented. Oh wait...

Dodge? You mean you strafe left or right and still are being shot because AI doesn't give a fuck?
Trance on 18/10/2008 at 15:59
When in an enclosed space where there's very little cover to speak of, say in the corridors of the PoA, the straight hallways in AotCR and pretty much all of the Library, I'll admit the AI does get pretty hard to tackle in groups. But when there's plenty of stuff to hide behind, the AI mostly likes to come at you one at a time. (At least they do for me, other people might not share my good fortune.)
Really the only way to "dodge" enemy fire is to be as quick as possible moving between places of cover, because it takes about a quarter to a half of a second even in their combat state to begin shooting. If you hide long enough the AI will revert to their guard state which makes them take even longer to shoot.

...and jumping. Don't forget jumping. To dodge is less wordy don't you think?

Also misleading.

Really fucking difficult. As in, every fight involving an Elite is a deadly encounter.

Yeah, you know it's a great port when
every single animation is locked at 30FPS.

What does that have to do with the port? That's how the animations were originally made.

Yeah, but if the port was really altering and optimizing the game, you'd think they could have at least added in some interpolation between frames.
