I'm just trying to re-familiarize myself with Dromed.
My windows10 Thief2 game is hopeless. Playing Running Interference, it freezes within about 20 seconds of play every time. I've sort of just given up.
I have a windows7 home premium comp that is running the game ok for now. Yes, a second computer. Drastic but what the hey.
Dromed 1.24 with TafferPatcher217 beta.
If this is a stupid question I apologize, but objects I have made new faces for are showing up as the originals in the 3d view window and even when I alt+G.
All the proper folders are in the Thief2 folder but no go. I even have to help it find the gamesys even though it's right there in the folder.
What am I missing?

When you say "objects I have made new faces for" do you mean custom objects you created, or objects you borrowed from other FMs that you're looking to insert into your mission?

Folders for objects (bins):
\obj
for object textures
\obj\txt16
or
\obj\txt (old stuff mostly)

sorry for the lack of detail. I mean say banners and buttons and such. I always simply take an existing object, such as a banner, then when I make my own texture for it, I use its texture name, say...BANNER8.gif, and put it in the Obj/txt folder. It shows up in dromed and in the game with my new face on it.
Usually. Not now.
Also, when you alt+G and try to read a book, the text says there should be a book but thief couldn't find it.

Maybe the resname base in the darkinst.cfg is pointing to another direction?

Nope. I apologize. Just started dromed again yesterday after years of not having working on a comp. I have a Thief 2 install and a second install for just dromeding. I put all the folders and .gam file in the wrong folder.
Dromed is C/Thief2 and just playing the game and Darkloader play is C/Games/Thief2.
Just a stupid newbie move. Ten missions and I'm a stupid newbie again.

If you use FMSel, you can just keep everything in one folder, makes things much neater and easier to organise.
