Oh, this reminds me of a favorite idea:
No fully functional Mech bots, but Mech bots converted into other things. Take a worker-bot, cut off the top half of the boiler, fill the bottom half with soil, and grow flowers! Use a boiler and the arms to drive a sprocket wheel and chain, connected to another gear and shaft, connected to...

massimilianogoi? Could you link to my polls in your first post? I have done the same in my polls. Let's keep them all linked so no one posts redundant polls, and everyone votes on all of the polls :)

There are a couple things in the Thief games that always irritated me; things that I saw as pretty needless and/or useless ('k, I won't mention undead here). The one thing I found most irritating (besides zombies/haunts, (sorry, couldn't stop myself)) were those ridiculous Mech servant children; the bronze-colored ones. The ones you can't KO and who follow you all over the place making those Godawful high pitched noises to the point where you have to take time away from your mission to find a place you can lock them up in. So I wouldn't feel bad not to see them included in any future Thief games. In mho they serve no purpose other than to be irritating as hell.
Scouting orbs, for me, are not an irritant, but it just seems like every time you turn around you're acquiring another one or three. I very rarely use them and doubt I'd miss them if they weren't included in T4.
All the other AI/stuffs that were previously included in the Thief games should also be included in T4 imo. I don't much care for the thought of including Mages (unless they're a Keeper-type AI), two-headed ogres, or vampire bats at all, since they just don't seem to 'fit' in the Thief world (once again, just my opinion). Please include the frogbeasts, spiders, and burricks! (Didn't much care for the craybeasts and/or apebeasts, though.)
I think Crossbows are just too much like cheating. I rather like the challenge of having to focus to aim Garrett's bow and a crossbow to me would be almost like including guns. And I'd definitely not like it if the guard AIs were equipped with them!!
I played an FM recently where there were bigger, badder Mech combat bots and I liked the challenge of trying to take them down. New, more challenging combat bots would work for me. And then the devs could implement jtr's suggestion of using the old-fashioned combat bots as flower planters (something I'd get a kick out of seeing!). ;) As far as the smaller work bots are concerned, they're just another irritant that get in the way on an all too regular basis and I'd have no qualms if the devs shitcanned them for T4. Spider bots are optional; they usually present a mediocre challenge for me.
As far as all of Garrett's other accessories are concerned (mines, potions, and arrows) I say yes; include them since they are (and yet again, only my opinion) very much a part of the Thief world.
