I'd like to see what other games fellow Thief fans play.
Yeah, you can mention your favorite ttlg-related games, like System Shock, Deus Ex, etc., but try to branch out a bit more.
As for me, in addition to loving the aforementioned games, I am a huge Final Fantasy fan, especially the early to middle ones, 1 and 6 being favorites, and, my apologies to all thief fans, 7 being my number one all time favorite game (with Thief:TDP at a close second!!) I'm also being VERY patient waiting on news of the upcoming Final Fantasy 3 remake for the DS.
I was also one of the disillusioned Earthbound faithful who felt, for a second, like the world had ended when EB64/Mother 3 plans were delayed, delayed, delayed, and then totally scrapped.
As a Thief fan, mindless FPS's do nothing for me. Except Duke Nukem 3D. That game NEVER gets old.
I can play Super Smash Bros. and Tetris Attack for hours on end.
It's actually only a recent acquisition of mine as it's near impossible to find, but Silent Hill 1, despite horrendous voice acting, is one of my favorites. I tried SH3, but got bored 5 minutes into it. I also paid only 10 bucks for it.
I love the Command and Conquer (and Dune II) series, and have many fond memories of playing these games via LAN - not much is quite as satisfying as decimating a massive military base that your older brother has spent 20 minutes building.
RollerCoaster Tycoon has also claimed many late nights of mine, as have The Sims, though to a lesser extent.
I've also been able to follow the King's Quest series from the time my parents bought the original for our Apple IIe to the abrupt end at KQ8: Mask of Eternity. Ms. Williams, the series wasn't dead, the last installment was just foolishly rushed to meet a christmas deadline!
And I was also the kid who got harshly insulted by the game You Don't Know Jack for playing solo on a late Friday night.
OK, I'll stop. I think I've managed to amass more than 35 games in this list, if you count individual games in serieses..eses...es

Psychonauts... A games that had very great reviews, many editor's choice titles. But the sales weren't good enough. But it has a great legion of fans. This scenario kind of reminds me o the thief series and system shock, which are praised games but they didn't reach the sales of more commercial games like quakes, dooms and half-lifes... but it's a diferent kind of game.
The game is conceived by tim Schafer, the man who made grim fandango, full throttle, Monkey Island (along ron gilbert) and Day of the Tentacle. It's an adventure/platformer mix. Very humourous, and very innovative. A kind of super-mario-drug-addicted.
You are Raz, a psy-gifted boy in a school for training this powers, much like xavier's school for gifted young (the x-men), and to become a psychonaut. the game has a plot of world domination and brains being stolen, and raz is the only one avaiable to stop the perpetrator. For this, he will use his powers to enter the mind of the many charaters of the game, and that's where the magic of the game is: The mind levels correspond to the personality of each character, and there you have to colect items like "figments" of imagination, cobwebs that blocks memories, etc.
anyway, it's a very cool game, and i'm playng right now... didn't finish yet. It's graphics uses new shader technology, but they're intenttionally cartoonish, reminding the style of grim fandango.
No one lives forever: game of the year edition, No one live forever 2: a spy in h.a.r.m.'s way
Hmmm, who played thief should try both games. It's more action oriented, but both have stealth missions, like thief. The problem in the first one is that you can't carry the bodies of yor enemies, and cate archer is not so silent, the enemies have good ears. But the sotory, which is in the 60's, is very funny, full of mystery, very much like james bond meets austin powers. the funnyest part that is similar to thief is the conversations by the AI, in which they discusses things like domestic problems, the life as a criminal, and nonsense...
This are the games I'm playng by this time.
