I think Wasteland would deserve a remake...
Rogue Keeper on 27/10/2008 at 16:56
I mean a FAITHFUL remake.

As far as I was aware, Wasteland has been picked up for a remake, and by Brian Fargo no less.
Can't find the story at the moment, but note that (
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brian_Fargo) The Vault says he acquired the rights to Wasteland in 2003.

wow that retrospective was cool. I can't help realising that that early isometric Fallout 3 tech demo got me momentarily a lot more excited than any of Bethesda's work.

So yeah, Fargo has the rights.
Unrelated, but since NOLF was fairly popular here, Monolith did not get the rights to NOLF when they bought FEAR as the rights to FEAR have been tranferred to Warner's while Vivendi still holds NOLF.

Isn't it sad that all (two) promising fan sequels made in F2 SDK have been zombified? Well one still lives... but who knows.

I don't see how that would stop Warner from buying the rights off of Activision/Vivendi some time in the future. They're hardly EA, whom like to sit on their long dead properties.

pretty cool that the rights to a Fallout MMORPG are still kicking around. If F3 sells well, that'll probably trigger Interplay to do something with the rights, even if it's just selling them.

It would be hard considering Fallout MMO is in development.
