Outland - slick 2D platformer (X360/PS3)

Just played the trial version of this. Very good looking and slick platformer. Reminded me a bit of Shadow of the Beast for Amiga. I have a bunch of games on my plate right now so I won't be picking it up right away but I figured a lot of TTLGers would be into this.

Bought it online for my 360....man, can't wait to return to Monterrey to fire this sucker up. Ikaruga meets classic Metroid...

I saw a review on this yesterday and was going to start a thread. Shit like Super Meat Boy just do not interest me in the slightest, but this is fucking awesome. It sorta has that bullet hell/Ikaruga thing going for it as well as sweet platforming. Gonna dl this demo asap.

This was on sale for 3 euros on XBLA a few days ago so I finally picked it up. Just played the first hour of it (including the first boss fight), and I'm enjoying it a lot. The story isn't all that thrilling, and the powers are all stuff we've seen in other games, but the controls are slick, it looks good, and the gameplay is fast and satisfying. I haven't really heard anything about this game since initial release, have the feeling it got overlooked a bit.
