T: DS, yeah.
Anyone else find this level strangely beautiful?
You've just finished with the horror of exploring the Abysmal Gale and destroying the undead crew, and you step straight into the desolate sadness of the household Moria left behind. The dozens of vast rooms are cold and uninhabited, the servants are tense, and the atmosphere is haunting. The backing track alone is my favourite of the game.
This is the only level in the game where I painstakingly avoid contact with anyone unarmed. :erm: It's like the game saying "you've killed guards just to nab some candlesticks. Here's a guy who died for a slightly less trivial reason; here's who and what he left behind."

Btw is it Moria or Moira? I've seen it spelled both ways in the game, and Moria sounds slightly more manly than Moira (which happens to be my mum's name).

Yes, its a level with a quite prominent backing track- just Moira sitting alone up there made me feel so bad for her (especially when I stole from her, mwahaha) and just the storm raging is fabulous. A great, GREAT level.

Here's how to remember how to spell "Moira":
If it's the same spelling as J.R.R. Tolkien's "Mines of Moria" from
The Lord of the Rings...it's wrong!:cheeky:
.
Moira - Moy-RA
Moria - MOR-ia
Miora - your having a laugh
So, I'm coming up the winding staircase where Moria barking incessant unreasonable orders to a servant. I thought to myself, her demeanor is exactly like a disarranged and ungrateful person who my roommate is taking care of. A chill up my spine. I turned around to see if my roomate's friend was in the house. The voice was almost the same. Insane, solitary, mean, unreasonable, and ungrateful--that's her.
Good mission, especially love the part where your climbing up that really long, winding staircase to where shes sitting and sobbing, with that eerie backing track.
Definitely one of T3's finer moments along with the Cradle. Missions like these allow me to forgive the game for its numerous flaws.
