What bothers me most about Ozzy's selling out-frenzy is that it taints the other stuff he does. The kinda stuff he fits perfectly for, like his role in Brutal Legend. He was a shoe-in for that but by that point it just felt like selling out. I couldn't help but roll my eyes every time he appeared onscreen.

So Ozz is some FPS wizard now?
He was first to reach the "Prince of Darkness" achievement.

No, that was Alice Cooper.

Beg to differ. Alice Cooper may have been around for (slightly) longer but they never got anywhere until after Black Sabbath had made it.
Besides, why not go play Ozzy on CoD. If he kicks your ass you must post pictures (or a video) of you eating an actual humble pie.
Why is he "selling out" by doing this stuff? You don't think a.he already sold out when they started doing the TV show and b.brother gots to makes the monies somehow. Don't be hating.

I would have thought the selling out happened when they signed to a major label, which was what, 1970? Not that I care, it just seems like a weird thing to tag him with 40 years after he went mainstream.

Some please tell me who hasn't "sold out" and explain to me what sort of a difference it actually makes to a band to sell out or not to sell out. That is the question.

If everyone listens to them it sours the sweetness of being hip and in the know. I listen to bands that don't even exist yet!

Selling out is when you do things so far out of your realm that it hurts you. This is selling out. Getting a major label to publish you is the goal of being a band

No it isn't. Not anymore at least.
