erm..about sleeping on piles of cash.
Seriously, i don't even have a problem with that. If someone offers you millions to make a turd, you say hell yes.

Looks like Transformers with a different title. He could at least have picked another theme than giant robots.
He's not even trying anymore

This looks awful.
What the hell is del Toro thinking.
You're dumb and your opinions are dumb. A massive budget to do a movie about giant fucking robots fighting giant fucking monsters (two of his favourite things) was what del Toro was thinking. This is going to kick Zach Snyder's Superman's ass.

Yeah he's playing by the book.
And Glados is the sysop.
Did they think people would just find that makes perfect sense, or feel like they're in on a little in-joke?
And what is it about giant sea monsters wrecking suspension bridges?
Is it just like on a checklist of things they have to do when they get up in the morning?

That was possibly the most I.Q. destroying thing I've seen all year. The stupid - it burns.

I like where the description cuts off before the 'Show More' break. 'When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots'
So, Stringer Bell and GlaDOS in a giant robot movie with aliens directed by the man who did Hellboy with exactly the right amount of camp (but also some of the most dark and brilliant fantasy ever committed to film)?
I... I don't know if this is genius or genuine 100% retardedness.

I think he could pull off a fun popcorn flick, provided the characters are enjoyable, the acting is competent and the action is fun. Yes, the premise is dumb - but I don't think the film is unaware of that. Something can be fun and still done with flair and personality.

I'm so disappointed in most of you. Not the greatest trailer in the world, but this is an actual fun idea by an actual fun director.
You all went and saw the nonsensical gibberish of The Dark Knight Rises just fine, I'm sure. Even felt obliged to call it great afterward, rocking back and forth, telling yourself it was filled with things that weren't actually there (like depth and logic).
An ounce of that forgiveness for something original, I implore! (or at least as unoriginal)
