Did you read sarcasm in my post? There wasn't any. Rather than comparing "Mr. Hilter" with anyone; I was only using him as a (rather extreme) example of how virtually any idea can seem like a good one if a charismatic and intelligent person says it (under the right circumstances).

Independent of any other reason, the NY attorney general is waaaaayyyyyyy off base in how he characterizes the settlement, because he's deliberately mischaracterizing the roles of the banks involved. There are very good reasons to get him to back off.
