Hi there.
I have problems installing this game. It starts up as normal and a heavy metal tune tries to get me in the mood. But that is it. Nothing else happens.
I have let it sit there for more than 10 minutes but still nothing.

Make sure you don't tell us your system specs or anything.

Yeah, and let's not bother using Google to search for a possible solution first.
Google suggests that if the installation stalls, leave it alone for a while. Nothing new there- some installers take forever to get started.

That's all there is. Painkiller Resurrection is a post-modern retrospective on the futility of violence. There's no point to violence. No justification. So therefore no point to the game. You just sit and stare, pondering the carnage you were about to willingly partake in.
I found it to be quite a deep and moving experience.
Also the heavy metal music was ironic as fuck.

Well, good morning to you too.
You certainly bombed me back to my little cave with your "nice" remarks. :tsktsk:
Forget I even asked. :wot:

Save your Ajaist "it's art" nonsense for the final level of the original game, Renzy. ;)
(real playas know what I'm talking about)

(

And I'd not waste any more time on PK: Resurrection by the way. In my book the series ended with the Battle out of Hell expansion.

OMG, Bjossi...that poor forum is nothing but spam topics. Wow. :nono: I have never seen anything that infested.
BTW, is Resurrection the stand-alone expansion that was originally going to be a mod?

No, that would be Overdose.
Anyway, there's always the JoWooD forum, one in the same as Dreamcatcher.

Thanks for the clarification. I bought the Painkiller: Black Edition years ago. It has Painkiller and the Battle Out of Hell expansion on one DVD, w/a few extras iirc. That is the only Painkiller game(s) that I have ever played, or even read about, really. From the tone of the posts, I take it Overdose and Resurrection don't live up to the originals? If that is the case, then it is a real shame. There was so much potential for them to establish it as a premier FPS franchise. Dropped the ball apparently.
Any news on any future sequels? People Can Fly doesn't even make them anymore, do they?
