I didn't like it either. More than half of the maps I hated. Same with the monsters which seemed even more idiotic than what was presented before (a chicken shed? wtf).
That, coupled with the same corny lines over and over again make it a downgrade from the first PK.

Overdose is a pile of shit anyway. Listening to this terrible Duke Nukem knockoff spout the same stupid lines over and over again is not my idea of fun.
Wait, what?!?!?!? Daniel does that now? :nono: :eww:

No, it's a different character. A far more annoying one.

i first ignored this message on the top of the screen, only later then i realize the game was with serious bugs that where preventing me to progress in the game, i was kinda liking the game, even having confusing levels, but when it comes to seriously affected with bugs, then the best thing is to return the game.
It´s a pity because i always enjoyed Painkiller Games, Jowood should be more honest about their releases :(
Download the patch next time, idiot. You can usually find them online via google.
I remember that you bitched about a game breaking bug in Bioshock and then everyone pointed out that it had been fixed ages before in the v1.1 patch, again which you hadn't bothered to download and install.
The first thing that you should do upon installing a new game is to go online and see if there's any patches that you need.

By the way, has anyone played Dreamkiller? Made by Aspyr Media and Mindware studios I think. From what I've read here and there it's like Overdose, but with more/less suck in different areas.

Apparently overdose was originally a mod and you really can tell (:/)
I have only played the first level of painkiller but at least it seemed somewhat polished and worth playing properly someday. Was overdose released as a full game or an add on? cos i hope it was the later.
After reading a bit of this topic i watched this just for an overview and it didn't give the best impression: (

That rubiks cube thing sums it up i think. Oh dear. (And even the attack model for it looks horrendously broken haha).

Tried the Resurrection demo. Aside from everything else that sucks about it, I think it's awesome that the worst part of the game, the AI getting hung up on the environment, is all over the damn demo. I mean, like the moment you start shooting shit, the enemies start getting stuck on benches, behind pillars, etc. Holy crap is it bad.
In regards to Overdose, it might be the worst game I own. It's tough just getting through the first mission without wishing there were a "mute your character's voice" option, and the weapons are just terrible. Resurrection seems like it would at least be ok, even with the annoying new character, if the level design weren't ridiculously bad.
I also tried the Necrovision demo on Steam, and it seems a lot more like Painkiller than either of the actual Painkiller follow ups do, at least look/feel wise. The weapons are unfortunately crap (in the demo, dunno about the full game) since you're limited to WWI era stuff, which would make for a great CoD or BF or BIA or ArmA game but doesn't seem to fit in a game where you're mauling hordes of zombies.

Yeah, when I heard one of those lines at the beginning of the level I thought that it was the last time I was going to hear it. I really wish I was right.

Wow. Love-hate thing with JoWood, here.
