I can see the appeal the Pandora has going for it. A Linux based Nintendo DS lookalike with 2 analog sticks does kinda pique my interest a little bit. Thing is, considering how relatively limited it is due to the processor, I'd almost say it'd be better just to get a netbook and tape a 360 pad on it.
You can slap Windows XP & Ubuntu on a netbook for choice, play some old Quake 2-3 era PC games with ease, have a ton of various emulator choices right out the gate, and run Dosbox with nary an issue. That sounds more appealing to me than Pandora does at the moment.

Heh. Well, if you're happy to carry the netbook around with you, then sure... you can certainly get more powerful hardware in a bigger box. The key attraction of this is the capabilities it has within the confines of a device that literally fits in a pocket. If the size doesn't interest you, then you're really not part of the target audience.

I've known about the Pandora for a long while, but have held off until the software gets up to scratch.
I intend to use it not just for gaming, but as a PDA/MID/PMP/general pocket computer. Something that can replace my hx4700 and complement my PSP-2000, DS, and GBA SP.

What the hell is with everything being called "Pandora" or something similar lately?
There's the science fiction film called "Pandorum" coming out, the alien world in the new James Cameron film is called Pandora, and now this too.

It certainly seems like a cool product (and tempting to buy), but at the price they're asking I'll have to pass. I might as well buy an xbox 360 or ps3 at that price. Plus, I already have a NDS and PSP (Neither of which I am a huge user of.)
