Thanks for the interest, everyone. To answer the question of why I'm seeking to achieve this effect, the object will represent a trap which can be activated by the player, but of which the AI characters are aware of. Also, I wrote "transparent", not "invisible", so the object can indeed be seen ingame. Thanks for the ideas, though ;)
