Maybe... but anyway: The full meaning of this will most likely be revealed at the end of the last mission. And maybe you should watch the Prologue movie again after all this.

OMG - I just replayed this mission - the fireballl face issue was a HUGE problem for me until I changed my video back to 640X480. with the larger video settings it was IMPOSSIBLE. so lower your video settings if you want an easier time getting past the face...

Just started this mission. Got through the maze, though I'm not sure how, and ended up in a tall room with 3 robots. I managed to sneak by them, but a door beyond won't open. What am I supposed to do here exactly? There's no information anywhere, I don't have any rope arrows, it's just a huge room with pillars. I don't get it.
Is there a switch for that door somewhere in the maze? I did find two grates in the ceiling just beyond the portcullis entrance, but there was no way to climb up.

kal from what i remember when you enter pillar room on left or right side area there is a switch at base of pillar to open a hidden door in a pillar, that should get you to the tight passage to next area

According to my notes, the door klatremus mentioned does open on Normal difficulty level, and possibly on Hard as well, but not at all on Expert. You can only take the way downwinder mentioned in that case.

So to pass this room you are forced to find a microscopic switch at the base of one of 10 huge pillars, with no hint or indication of such? Seriously??

Yes, on Expert you apparently have to do that. On the other two difficulty levels, it's easier, as there is another way: The door near the robots does open, which is easier to spot than that other way to proceed.
While I'm also not a fan of hunting down extremely tiny (and sometimes extremely well hidden) switches or levers, I am more tolerant if an author reserves such things for higher difficulty levels, as in this case. It's also just a rather small switch down near one pillar's base/bottom, if I remember that correctly, and (in theory) out in plain view (for a mouse, at least:cheeky:). I would still have appreciated some hint somewhere, perhaps a note, but AFAIK, there is no such hint. It may be that one can see some scratch marks at the base of the pillar that opens once you use the switch, but I am not sure.
