I am not sure if someone talked about this here before because I dont come to this part of the TTLG forums, I usually go to the System Shock 2 forums. Well anyways, I did something which let Paul live through the whole game. You know what it was? When Paul said for you to leave the apartment room because UNATCO troops were going to bust in, well to save Paul I killed ALL the enemies that was in the hotel and he lived long enough for me to meet him at Tong's house in Tokyo and long enough for me to get a message from him when I was about to beat the game.

Gee, I'm sure you're the only person in the whole world who knows this. Actually, you'd be amazed how many people know how to save Paul.
Anyway, you're half right about how to save Paul. All you need to do is not go out the window, and Paul'll be alright. You don't need to fight the UNATCO guys one bit.

Actually when I played the first time all I did was go out the window. And guess what? Paul did not survive so the next time I played the game I killed all the enemies inside the hotel and exited through the front doors and that is the only way Paul lived in my game.

Yeah I did and it was a cinch, I thought it was stupid though that when he was at the gate at the front of UNATCO HQ he just stood there, it was annoying though going around corners and he would not follow you.

Why the hell I don't get him go there? Once I got him to the door with the broken retinal scanner but after saving/loading he disappeared!

Maybe you should retrace your steps. Do you have the patch for the game? because it could just be a bug that you need the patch to fix up.
