fair enough, but I still don't see what's wrong with Metal Age. Story, slightly weaker. Level design - much stronger.

Not much "wrong" with it. But I don't think that any two games from one series deserve to be on the list unless the second one was totally revolutionary. TMA is anything but, to be honest it always felt like a standalone expansion pack for TDP with some tweaks to the engine.
