Just FYI dethtoll, when I post something and don't put punctuation at the end of the sentence, it generally means I'm joking - like I was above. :D
I hope gunsmoke got that I was gently needling him and not actually implying that I didn't respect him.

Man, I used to respect you :(
I just don't like his journalism. I guess he isn't 'shit', I just don't usually agree with what he has to say. *shrug*

Well, this thread has certainly been everything other than what it should have been!
On topic: Dragon Age by a fucking mile

To go back to my earlier comments about odd console-inspired reduction-of-buttons controls, Fallout 3 has just provided me with another and far better example of why it's bad.
After playing the game for over 18 hours, I only just now learned that there is a toggleable light, which can be activated by holding down the Pipboy (menu/stats/inventory) key for a few seconds. I had previously wondered if there was one, as the game can be quite dark in places, and had even checked in the control mapping, but there was no mention of it, nor was it mentioned in the in-game tutorials or in the body of the manual (upon closer inspection, it's very briefly mentioned in the "default control mappings" section that no one ever reads).
Because that control had been doubled up - and honesetly, there's no logical reason for that on a PC so it must have been to reduce the number of controls for a console controller - I had no idea it even existed and no way to discover this (e.g. by checking the control configuration). I only came across it because turning your light on was briefly mentioned as being detrimental to stealth in one of the loading screens.

Yes it was. I forget at which point, but it definitely is mentioned. I do agree that it didn't make sense to have doubled-up when using a keyboard, though.
In response to the OP: I AM BATMAN.

I missed it. I had no idea there was a pipboy light! Sweet!

I totally found out about Pipboy light and that you could holster weapons by accident as well.
Holstering lets you move faster, BTW.
