That is the most abominable listing I've ever seen

I've got yer best and worst right here.
Best of 2009: Uncharted 2, without question. Someone on Ars called it pure chocolate sex, and that's pretty much what I'd describe it as.
Batman: AA, AssCreed II, Killzone 2, inFamous, Dead Space and Mirror's Edge were all fantastic. But I'm sorry, they all pale in comparison to what UC2 achieves in terms of sheer momentum. The mastery of pacing, action, audio and visuals on show here is something to behold.
The plot is pure Indie. And the acting - I don't just mean the voices, I mean the acting - is perfect. There's real chemistry here*, and these people, they feel real; well, except the antagonist, who plays the hackneyed war criminal, but that's easy enough to overlook when you take the brilliance of everything else into account.
Worst of 2009: I wouldn't know, cuz I didn't buy et.
Most mediocre thing I played this year: The demo for Dante's Inferno. Actually, it would have been the GT5 time trial demo, but I'd rather watch cumcicles drip and form off someone's left bollock instead.
For something I actually bought, Resident Evil 5 was just about okay. It's frigging gorgeous and plays well. But it's basically a co-op RE4 retread for the Gears generation. Which is fine, and the reason why I got it cheap. But if you go in expecting anything like survival horror levels of tension and atmosphere, expect to be disappointed.
*Mostly courtesy of Claudia Black, who plays Chloe. Her very presence in a project elevates it beyond compare. BEYOND COMPARE DO YOU HEAR ME
Oh, Claudia. <3<3<3 How I wish Farscape could've continued for another season.

Uncharted 2 came out for PC?
CCCToad on 28/12/2009 at 16:45
well, Sony claimed that the PS3 was basically a PC. And Uncharted 2 came out on PS3, so therefore it came out on a PC(if you use Sony-logic)

I'm not up for platform segregation. What's the point?
And I'm not about to go off and create another Best/Worst thread. It all devolves into lists upon lists anyway. This one's off to a fine start as it is.

CONSOLE GAMES in a PC GAMING THREAD!?
*drops monocle*

It's not about segregation, it's about reading the fucking thread before you post. If someone posts a "BESTEST PS3 GAMES OF 2009" thread it would be stupid to make a post about Torchlight or Armored Princess in it, right?
I'm not saying there's a need for platform-specific best of lists, just that you happen to be posting in one.
