Since this thread is so old, it needs more nudging to stay alive, then others. :)

How old does a thread have to be to go into the vault? Do they go in automagically or do the admins go crazy one day and move old stuff then?
sparhawk on 2/6/2006 at 15:50
Maybe it goes automatically if a thread wasn't posted to since N days and not stickied. Something like this probably.

Wild guess:
I wonder if that is similar to the "torch going out again" bug that happens when you water arrow a torch and then save.
I've had that happen as well as a rope (from an arrow) unfurling again when I load that saved mission (accompanied by the sound of the rope as it unfurls). I always wondered about that.

That bug can be quite aggravating when you first encounter it, especially if you only have a few earlier saves. I happened to be dangling above Dayport's main road.

Wow, a two and a half year bump.
Yeah, I know, two and a half years....this thread must have been all the way on the third page when he bumped it. ;)

Actually I found it through the search function. :)

What a quite staggering coincidence that you found a two and a half year thread via the search function a mere (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1459454#post1459454) four hours after I linked to it in another post.
I mean, what are the odds of <strike>you talking horseshit</strike> that happening?!
sparhawk on 9/6/2006 at 21:05
Ah! Right! Forgot that one! :) Credits where credits are due. You are right, I was NOT finding it through search, but I also didn't find it on page X. I was remembering that I definitely didn't go back through the threads, so I was assuming I found it via search because I totally forgot that other thread.

I have also noticed that in TDS, any NPC weapons (swords are very easy to hear) that have been dropped, drop again when you load a file. It scared the crap out of me sometimes to load something up and suddenly hear a loud clang right behind me.
