Howdy!
Recently been hitting Underdogs hard looking for pinball games. The other day grabbed a game called Slam Tilt pinball. First impressions were excellent and it hasn't disappointed. Only thing that concerned me was that 3 of the 4 table had 1,000,000,000 as the number 1 score on the top 5. Managed to crack that in of the tables yesterday :thumb: . Though that game took about 45 minutes of constant action.
Others that I've been hitting hard lately are Psycho Pinball and Epic Pinball. Underdogs has the pinballs I used to play on Amiga, Pinball Illusions, Dreams and Fantasies, but they need to be run in pure DOS, and so far the sounds have not been co-operative, which is a real let-down as the music and sounds in those games were killer (if memory is tainted by nostalgia, I apologize :p ).
Anybody still playing pinball games? Yes, I'm talking mostly of computerized games, but if you're playing real, live machines, share that as well.

Pinball Dreams was a big fave of mine on the Amiga. I managed to pick up Pro Pinball: The Web and Timeshock for the PC very cheaply, and they're pretty good too.

Fantasies is my favourite for the intro song and excellent tables, but Epic holds its own with the sheer number of tables. Also, its Enigma table = <3.

I used to love Digital Illusions' pinball games, I still own Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies on the Amiga, both in mint condition, boxed with manuals. May have to dig 'em out and have a go now. :D

Hey, Uncia, how do you deal with those  mines that pop up in Enigma? Also, I still haven't managed to get over 15 million on the Space table, that one has me stumped :o .

Hmm, you avoid them with careful aiming? Or sheer luck. ;)
The real trick is learning where the various invisible ramps lead, not that it takes more than a few games to figure out.

Fantasties was my favourite, in particular the Party Land and Sticks n' Stones tables.

Pro Pinball: Timeshock is my favourite computer pinball table. It's just awesome. I always enjoyed Team 17's Addiction Pinball as well... the Rally table isn't as good and the sound effects get pretty annoying, but the Worms table is great fun! The fairly recent Pure Pinball demo looked quite decent from the demo, but I don't have the full version so I can't comment more. I know there are lots of free pinball games about, but if I wanted a pinball fix I just played one of the games I owned, so I don't know much about those.

Have you tried DosBox?

What if neither of those, especially the latter isn't my strong suit  . I mean I can aim, but the ball doesn't seem "want" to avoid the mines, so I usually end up losing 1 ball to them  .

And then all I need is to figure out how to get the ball to the ramp I need with a mine at the entrance/exit :laff: .

I'm still using my old computer which has Win98SE to run most old games. Apart from those pinball games, games work without problems.
