Hi All,
I love all the Christine Schneider fan missions and I'm really looking forward to playing 'Pirates Ahoy!' :) but I'm having trouble getting the mission started. I am right at the beginning of the mission and it works fine for the first few minutes. Then, the game freezes and I can't play or exit the game. Can anyone help? I have started this fm with a newly installed 'Thief 2' game and I changed the compatibility from 'Windows Vista', to 'Windows 2000'. I have to do this, or else Thief 2 won't play on my computer. I have no custom scripts extracted to my 'Thief 2' folder. Should install a patch? I hope someone can help me:confused: :( Thanks.

Looks like a problem with (

Hi Clearing :) ,
Yes I have checked. I've just tried to play COSAS', 'Mission X' - which looks like a fantastic fm - and the same thing has happened again, the game just froze :( . It's strange, 'coz I've just finish playing Dr. K's 'Ink and Dust' and that worked fine, but whether that was something to do with the custom scripts, which I extracted to my Thief 2 programme folder, I don't know. I love playing Thief :ebil: but I'm afraid I am not an expert about scripts, patches, programmes and so on  . Anyway, thanks for the advice, Clearing. I'll check out your 'hyperthreading' link :thumb: .
Clearing, you were right. Everything is okay, now. Thanks.

"Pirates ahoy" uses only the standart scripts. You don't have to install custom scripts for ist.
I can't help you with hyperthreading problems. My computer is too old for this.
@ Greenhorn - if the snake didn't see you, you only need 1 arrow. But if it aware of you, you need 3-4 arrows ;)

I don't understand where this Greengrocer store is.? I've been all over the place. Found the other two places the blackjack replacement is, too bad I can't pick "them" up. Standing infront of the cemetary in the gloom now.
Other than that, this mission is really cool :thumb: Thanks, Christine (& GreenHorn) you always had a nack for making great visual FMs :)
Thanks Greenhorn :-)
Another question. The treasure map. I know it's in the store for books & maps, and I got the clue about it being drafty (by the way you may want to spell check that in the mission, since the way it's spelled it means lack of water), but I just can't find it :-(

the search function isn't finding anything, but is anyone else experiencing terrible lag in open areas?
in the city it was bearable, but now that I'm on the island it is even worse.
any suggestions?

OH YEAH... What am I supposed to do in the graveyard ? The ghost is saying something about the treasure & the tombstone lights up, what am I suppose to use on it ?

Draft and draught are interchangeable, actually. Depends on if you're American or not. :)
