Where would you guys like to go in Thief 4 ?
How 'bout all the areas in all of the Thief games ?
I've never seen the great big wall that separates the city from the Haunted Cathedral....?
I'd like to make the whole city bigger and better to explore. More possibilities in climbing, hiding, and how about more access to citizens houses ? You couldn't get into that many in TDS....
I mean more shops to rob....
Another thing.....What about more movement ? Carriages ? You could rob them, ride them .....Even boats would be good.
More moving capabilities sounds awesome !
Tell me what you think. :thumb:

No open-world and a more opened world inwardly-speaking would best. As in, larger but individually contained mission areas with expanded accessibility to more of the buildings there, and a return of the sewers and aqueducts below the streets, and greater vertical accessibility overall. Larger mission areas than we've seen in TMA would be adequately huge, considering that all of TDS can fit in less than 2 TMA missions. Missions that aren't all run together in the same week and clumped locales eliminates any need for transportation. I would like to see physical examples of transportation. I would like to see The River, for once, and the Cash/Bear Pits. I'd like to visit Eastport, New Quarter, North Quarter, and Shalebridge districts.
You DID see the Wall sealing in the infested Old Quarter areas. You just didn't recognize it since it's nothing grand or special, having been built in great haste during bloody undead-plagued fiery quake-damaged times.:D

That's cool, Jason, the image of the terrain brushes from Dromed superimposed over the map.

I'd like to have more secret areas. More homes to climb in to if you go over the roofs, pipes and laundry lines, more sewers, burrik tunnels (with burriks inside!!) or even some outskirts with hills and ravines. To visit the maw again would also be great.

totally......You guys are getting my idea !
I mean like TDS had the largest amount of areas to visit, as it was the first of all Thief games to have outside-of-mission stuff.
But more of that PLEASE.
And yeah, I did mean I wanted to see the wall form outside.....
Is there such a thing as east and west quarter ?
But all those named but un-visited places would be awesome !:idea:

In the most general terms, I would love to see that universe restored.
Cyric and Bohn get a good mention in the older titles, as well as Blackbrook. The City and Blackbrook were at war for at least two of the games. Cyric and Bohn are/were at war with each other. Bafford apparently threatened to pick up and move to Cyric. Cyric and Bohn were good sources of antiquities and quality craftsmanship. Blackbrook was a source of magical constructs, medicinals, and elemental crystals. The Archmage Tatyana discovered flowers in the Esse Range that could lull sentient rocks and plants to sleep by swirling and warming the magic around them. There are two mentions of parts of The City overseas, where it was faster to ship parcels over the sea than on land, and there's a Governor Horridge over there--but that's still The City. There are the northern territories where Gervaisius and Bafford have hunted and the western countryside. Biddleybong comes from Centauri Vineyards in New Hope (heh heh). The Hand Mages come from the east and have caravans to bring them provisions and gold. There are Lesser Hrabota, and Illyria where some tea comes from, Throve or Throvia where the artist Lizotte and a brand of summer wine come from. There's Warwick (Earl of Warwick). And there's wherever it is the Monarchy rules from. We hear of Dreckboun, Fendon, and Sunnyport as unexplored portions of The City with the cash pits/bear pits. And other districts we have yet to see are Eastport, Newmarket, New Quarter, Shalebridge proper. And finally, there are the "Dead Pits".

You make this game seem more lore rich than even The Elder Scrolls. I don't know as much as I should about the Thief universe, but I know it's potential for inspiring storytelling like that certainly exist. It would be nice to have the time to play this series non stop to absorb the textures and subtleties so I can recall every nuance the world has to share. It's great to at least read others' appreciation for the games.
For me, the thing I'd like to see in the next Thief would be what I love about Little Big World in TG. I was just watching a playthrough of it and was amazed at the imagination that went into providing the player such freedom to explore. I'd like to see the Thieve's Highway fully fleshed out as well as A.I.s with their own routines other than just being around walking/standing.

These.
In general, I want to see the outside of The City. Mentioned from time to time, but never in great deal. I love The City - the three games barely scratched the surface of it. But I'd be thrilled to see at least part of the game focus on different areas. The chance to see different art, architecture, and styles of living would be great.
