This has probably been done before, but I've recently replayed Thief Gold (for about the 5th time), attempting to "Ghost" every level. I've mostly suceeded (slight "ghost" imperfections were used, however).
My point and question to all is:
How far have you pushed it? Have you:
1. Attempted to "Ghost" any level? (Consult "ghosting rules")
2. Attempted to "Iron-Man" any level? (Iron-Man=Playing beginning to end with no saves whatsoever)
3. Attempted to "No-harm" any level? (Don't harm anyone, BJ or Kill)
4. Attempted to "BJ EVERYONE" - MY FAVORITE!. (No AI left standing, BUT, none dead)
5. Attempted to "Kill All". (Kill every AI possible)
Any others?

Thanks, Dia. Yep, read that, but it's getting old and stale. :)

'k, I'll play! I've attempted #4 on several FMs; successfully on a couple, but with most I end up having to kill somebody. Tried #5 & also succeeded on a couple, but on one there was an AI running around somewhere & damned if I could find him! I've also tried to totally ghost a few, but always get frustrated (or pissed off) & then I've just gotta kill someone ("scratch eyes out" isn't an option in any Thief game or FM I've played to date). :cheeky:
I'm beginning to think I lack patience.

Mostly I play no saves (except between missions) with a hint of ghosting and a generous dollop of #3. Obviously the ghosting goes awry sometimes (fairly often).

I always play number 4, unless I'm attempting something else.

I ghost except I get a bit sloppy when there are none humans around. It doesn't really bother me if a few zombies and spiders see me.

I tend to always start out ghosting until it gets boring, which it usually does, especially if I get stuck. After that I'll just do whatever I want to, but I almost never kill, just KO, as long as it's humans. Undead and beasts are always fair game.

Interesting replies so far, folks! :thumb:
A rather obvious additional style came to me. What about:
6. All possible loot and all secrets.
Of course, this can be used in combination with any of the others, and I'm not sure this would qualify as a style of play. My second time through TG and T2, I succeeded in the #4 + #6 combo, but didn't try any other methods until my 3rd playthrough.
Currently I've just gotten through The Lost City (TG) level on ghost (#1) which (obviously) also requires no-harm (#3). I've got quite a ways to go, but it is definitely challenging!
Can anyone imagine trying to combine #1 (ghost) and #2 (iron-man)? Not me! :)

Here's a new one. I think. Max damage style. Play through the game in expert (it wouldn't be very hard otherwise), inflicting as much damage as possible, and taking no damage yourself.
