Oh, and you're from Canada? They were already talking about FMs and the Thief General forum is a complete mess, so I thought some comment about what a "real" assassin mode (seen the title yet?) would be...maybe annoying...but not dangerous. :rolleyes: I would never dare to imply an over-reaction...
But anyway...with the guards killing you (not you, the player) the game would be rather...unsatisfying.

But since we're talking about a kind of playing style, shouldn't this be in Thief general Discussion? I don't see anything worth of spoiler tags...

I can say I've been playing Thief for years, but I had a year-long hiatus when I didn't have a PC capable of running any of them (lord did that suck, as I had just bought TDS, then the mobo craped; figured it'd be better to save for an entirelly new machine); so . . . now I do; and I so wanted to start playing DS, but I said naw . . . I want to start from square one again :cheeky: !!
If it wasn't for the issue I was having with EAX in TDS, I prob still wouldn't have registered here (man, did that issue drive me batty!).
The first time I played Thief and Thief II, I completed both on expert mode all the way through . . . really a challenge when you're adapting to the learning curve. As much as I'd like to play on normal, I know at this point it wouldn't be much fun, either, so I'm open to new challenges.

I always play as an Assassin, (unless an FM forces me to ghost), like the first mission of Fidcal's new FM pack. (That's not a complaint Fidcal, I actually enjoyed that bit) Woot, double-ghosting, awesome! :D
Don't get me wrong, I use the Blackjack alot, but then I do things with the bodies when they're down, like throwing them into fires, drowning them in the water, or chucking them down a cliff side or something! :ebil:

I too enjoy throwing unconscious bodies off of cliffs and into fires.
