I'm not
that old (turning 41 at the end of this year). I switched to playing with a controller in around 2010 the games that natively supported it, but for the longest time I didn't use controller emulators since I had bad first impression with them - not all games worked with them, there was lag etc. Now Xpadder works great for me. I have always been a low energy person and I find sitting by mouse and keyboard tiring, especially after a 8 hour workday by pc.
I'm a 29 year old youngster, but honestly I've been feeling lately that after so many hundred hours in Thief I can easily fall into a min-maxing playstyle where I play it in the most efficient way possible not dissimilar to how I edit with both the video and image editors I use for my jobs, so I'm interested in trying out controllers to remedy that. If not for that, I love keyboard and mouse.

It's an Ifyoo GTP01. I think it also gets sold as the "Darkwalker shotpad" in some regions.

Kerrie, that is one the coolest things I've ever seen! Too bad a bum thumb is what prompted having to use it though, hope that can improve for you.

Same here. I may have to go and grab one of those controllers. Of course there is no lefty option, but I have been dealing with that my whole life :cheeky:

Yeah, it should be fine in a few weeks if I can stop myself from reinjuring it. I actually bought this before the injury - I have a steam controller and quite like it, but they're impossible to get new now. I wanted to see if this would be a good alternative. It's not perfect - no haptics, for one - but it is solid and a good value for the money.

How anyone can endure the frustration of imprecise movement with a gamepad is beyond me!
I tend to go to lengths to get K&M working on emulated console games, i really dislike the analog controls for anything other than games built around them ( and even then, i prefer the more specific controllers, such as a flight stick for a flight sim or a arcade pad for a fighting game).
