Anyone know how to play the .avi videos with Windows Vista 32 bit using a media player (not ingame)
I have installed the iv5play.exe codec but all I get is sound playing but no video...

Hopefully we'll pin it down as we all end up having to get a newer system.:erm:
What kind of graphics card do you have?

An ATI, I think it is a 4750???

Thanks.
And the movies play in-game okay? And just to be absolutely certain, the Media Player Classic in the K-Lite Pack doesn't play them?
I believe I recall there being a problem like this with earlier Windows OSs, too.

I don't have Thief installed, Thief one and two give me motion sickness from the textures they use..
I was wanting to watch the making of Thief two movie that is on the Thief Gold CD, but it is encoded with the same obscure codec that all the Thief one and two movies are encoded with, and thus I can not play any of them, only get audio..
Edit: got it working via the klite configuration tool....Apparently Vista had the Indeo codec disabled...
