Despite what some extremists think, Thief 3 is definitely worth playing. Maybe not with the same ferver as the first two, but definitely worth it. Ohhh the cradel...
Darn straight.
As to playing Thief for the first time, I was hooked instantly. It just had the sense of being something totally unique. It was also a huge adjustment at first, this wasn't Aline Versus Predator. Though I love the sequel.
As to the Thief lifestyle, if you've seen my picture in the Photoalbum "See Us" section of the site...I'd advise against anyone looking at it. One guy already very skillfully made fun of it with this slide show he did, no one laughed harder than I did.

Just stick with The Dark Project. After you've mastered that, I suppose Thief II is fine. After that, just stick to FMs and repeat plays of TDP. Don't be fooled, Deadly is a broken action game, not a true Thief sneaking title.

I agree. I liked TDS too. Was *not* the same experience as the first two, but it was still better than most games I've played.
And yes, *some* of the fan missions. If you are like me and trying to round up every last one and play them at the same time you'll drive yourself up a wall. I seriously wish there was a way to stream them to me as people make them. I can't keep up, much less CATCH up. AUGH. One DVD burned with them and working on another. . .sheesh.
