I remember trying to play on a friend's N64 and upon realising that the controller is designed for use by people with 4 or more hands, wanted to hurl the lot of them into some kind of abyss.

Loved the N64, I remember when Super Mario 64 came out, it was just amazing. Played the crap outta Waverace, the water effects for back then were awesome. Also, Turok, Pilotwings, Goldeneye, Banjo Kazooie, etc. Played a shit ton of Mario Golf too, good gaming memories. And I had one of (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_V64) these badass devices for playing my "backups." :erm:

I'm surprised. That controller was fine. I don't get how you can hate it.

Damn, Brethren! That thing is badass. A fucking retail devkit modifiable to play backups! Pricey, but wow. Can you imagine such a thing today for a modern console?
@ SubjEff: It is probably just a matter of preference. It is just so far removed from any other controller that it is an odd change and muscle memory becomes irrelevant from what any other controller taught me. I had the same issue with the DC controller (that one, I think, was almost unusable it was so awkward). I thought I would love these two input devices since I have the largest hands out of anyone I know, but surprisingly I prefer the smaller controllers like the Dual Shock and the controller S from Xbox1 (though even with its exaggerated size, the Duke isn't bad either). The wii controllers are prohibitively small, imho, and I can't play for shit on the wii mote or the dual stick Wii controller.
And Mark of Kri...isn't that the old one where your character is a native-american and he has some mana-fueled 'hawk'?

I don't remember exactly what I paid for it, but I guarantee you it wasn't the number listed in Wikipedia. Around $200 sounds more like it.

Did anyone else here play Mark Of Kri?

I played the demo for Mark of Kri and loved it, couldn't get a copy of the game though. Later when I got a pc I either couldn't find it online, or couldn't remember the name of the game.
Still kinda pissed about it. For a while there I'd bought a load of old PS2 games, classics I loved and some I never got around to that were supposed to be great, like Killer7, which I really didn't enjoy at all.
Hitman 2 on the ps2 is probably still in my top 10.
(Getaway:Black Monday was an interesting distraction, but all too often infuriating, to be expected really considering who made it)

The best games on the PS2 are:
SSX 3
Okami
Final Fantasy X
Deus Ex: The Conspiracy
Mafia
But it has at least 200 other great gaems.

Mafia? Really? Mafia? MAFIA?
The game was terrible on PC and you're picking the horrible, horrible port? It's official. Nothing you post is of any value.
But whatever. The five best PS2 games are The Warriors, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence and... you know, I never really thought about it past the first two games I mentioned. But I kind of want to say it's GTA: Vice City Stories, Ico and Silent Hill 2.

Mafia was what on PC (?)

Terrible. You heard me.
