I doubt that. The majority of the target demographic won't care.

I think CCC just finds the most negative things to say and think and then just does that.
Get lost.

Current rumor is that the PS4 is going to require internet activation for games.
And on a semi-related note, its also rumored that the new Xbox will require an always on internet connection to work. If that one turns out to be true it will tilt the odds massively in Sony's favor
These rumours are bullshit.

You're an idiot and you prove it almost every time you post.
What the hell happened? When did you you get so... stupid?
Great (non-)argument there, 100% ad hominem. I was just giving my impressions of (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Brd0F7rlXCI) this trailer.
People can say they like about Braid's presentation, but no one can deny that it was a proper game with solid mechanics and genuine challenge. It totally wasn't artfag "interactive fiction" non-game wankery like Dear Esther. It'd be sad if Blow had gimped the actual GAME part of his projects in an attempt to replicate the success of "wide appeal art games" from Thatgamecompany/Chinese Room/etc, which often barely qualify as actual games (or not at all, in the case of DE).
The finished game could be utterly different, who knows? It's just impressions of a fucking trailer. Can say that you've never watched a game's footage prior to its release and had an opinion on the direction that it appears to be taking?

When I got the ps3 I was a TOTAL Sony fan boy after how damn good the ps1 and ps2 were (ps2 more so), but the releases on the overall whole have been quite disappointing.
Much of what was really good and unique to the system (inFamous, Resistance, Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, Demon Souls etc) were so few and far between and with such long gaps in between that it's just been really disappointing. Secondly on the JRPG front there has been next to none at all released on the ps3 in comparison to the absolute flood of them on the ps1 and ps2. Yes there were a couple, but there was just SO MANY good JRPGs to play on the previous ones. Admittedly one of the few, Demon Souls is good enough to get a ps3 for just for that one game but still.
Beyond the games I've mentioned the other 99.9% of the good ones were games that you could get on the PC in digital format on steam so it was an easy choice every time (PC/Steam). So over time seeing just how many good games were coming out on the PC and the extreme lack of JRPGs (which has made catching up on JRPGs on earlier systems that I missed out on playing the 1st time round, essential for me) has led to me completely abandoning the console.
And now with the ps4 now in the distance. No thanks. No longer a fan. I'll stick with PC and emulation. Yes some games feel a hell of alot better with a controller, but nope.
I got the Sega Master System for Phantasy Star and Y's. I got the Super Nintendo because of Secret of Mana and Zelda. Got the PS1 for Final Fantasy 7 + Castlevania Symphony of The Night, and I got the PS2 for The Summoner (for starters) and Final Fantasy X. The PS3 in comparison had no JRPGs of any kind for a very long time after it came out. Very disappointing. Mostly was all action and racing games for a while.
I miss the Sega/Nintendo/PC war days of the 90s. Back then you had actual HUGE differences between each platform. Each had its unique styles of games to them, and each were truly great platforms. Nowadays all of them are so damn similar besides the PC.

Basically the majority of the JRPG developers (and Japan's smaller console devs/publishers in general) migrated to PSP (and in more recent times, 3DS), probably in part to it being cheaper and easier to develop for than PS3. Also the domestic Japanese gaming market in general has largely shifted to handheld consoles and mobile gaming.

I have working eyes and a working brain. If you're unable to reach logical conclusions from just viewing the trailer, then that's entirely your problem.
